Thomas Goldsby


Thomas J. Goldsby co-leads Mulsanne’s Supply Chain Strategy and Management practice.  He is Professor of Logistics at The Ohio State University and has published more than 50 articles in academic and professional journals and serves as a frequent speaker at academic conferences, executive education seminars, and professional meetings around the world. He is co-author of Lean Six Sigma Logistics: Strategic Development to Operational Success (2005) and Global Macrotrends and Their Impact on Supply Chain Management (2013).

Thomas has conducted seminars on the topics of supply chain management, transportation management, lean logistics, lean six sigma supply chain operations, logistics performance measurement, logistics outsourcing, procurement, and project management for organizations big and small, for-profit, governmental, and NGOs. His open-enrollment seminars are offered throughout the world. He has supervised more than 100 Lean/Six Sigma supply chain projects with industry partners.

Thomas has received recognitions for excellence in teaching and research at Iowa State University, The Ohio State University, and the University of Kentucky. He serves on the advisory boards of Logistics Quarterly magazine, Supply Chain Leaders in Action, the Research Strategies Committee of CSCMP, Board of Directors for the American Society of Transportation & Logistics, and as a reviewer for the Gartner Top 25 Supply Chains, LQ Sustainability Awards, SCLA Circle of Excellence Award, CSCMP Supply Chain Innovation Award, and University of Kentucky Corporate Sustainability Award programs.

Thomas received his PhD in Business Administration from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University, his MBA from University of Kentucky, and his bachelors degree from the University of Evansville. In addition to his professorship, Dr. Goldsby also serves as Associate Director of the Center for Operational Excellence at The Ohio State University.
