Doug Dubin


Doug Dubin has been a communications and marketing leader since the early 1990s. He most recently worked at the headquarters of Borders in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he led digital communications and marketing strategy efforts for the company’s marketing and entertainment division, Borders Media. Doug helped successfully develop and implement the strategy necessary to rebrand the company as a “headquarters for knowledge and entertainment” that engaged, entertained, informed and enhanced the customer experience in-store and online.

Prior to his experience at Borders, Doug served as the Creative Director of a strategic marketing and issues management firm where he led the firm’s clientele in the development and delivery of key strategic messaging campaigns to core audience segments. Doug worked in film and digital communications production and post-production in Washington, DC, for many years, and produced numerous promotional, documentary, political, and corporate productions under the banner of his own company, DSD Productions, as well as Red October Productions. He provided communications services for dozens of clients, including the Discovery Channel, National Geographic Television, and the History Channel and conducted on-camera interviews with high profile individuals from the worlds of politics, professional sports, business, and the entertainment industry.

Prior to his career in communications and marketing, Doug was a senior consultant and writer for a strategy and benchmarking consultancy in Washington, DC that evolved into to the Corporate Executive Board. He earned his masters degree in film from American University in Washington, DC, and a BA in History from the College of Wooster in Wooster, OH.
